I'm a counsellor, clinical supervisor, and the founder of Mind&Me. But before anything else, I'm human. I'm a mum, daughter, sister, friend, proud ragdoll x2 cat owner, and somewhere in there... the house fairy, dishwasher stacker, laundry attendant, toilet roll changer and family taxi.
I understand the weight of juggling life, caring for others and trying to meet everyone's expectations, because I live it too. I also believe life shouldn't be something we simply survive. Creating a business that gives me the freedom to be present with my family, travel, and work from wherever life takes us is something I value deeply, and it's a reminder that life can be built around what matters most.
For more than 14 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside children, teenagers, adults and families through some of life's most vulnerable moments. I've supported people navigating trauma, grief, addiction, disability, domestic and family violence, anxiety, loss and life's unexpected turns. Whether things feel overwhelming, confusing, painful or quietly exhausting, my work is grounded in compassion, honesty and the belief that healing begins when we feel genuinely understood.
I've also been the counsellor sitting in supervision wondering if I'd handled something the right way. I've questioned myself after difficult sessions, worried I wasn't doing enough and learnt many lessons the hard way. Those experiences have shaped the way I work today.
I don't believe counsellors or people need someone with all the answers. I believe we need someone who creates enough safety for us to find our own.
Mind&Me was created to be exactly that. A space where you don't have to perform, explain or hold everything together. A place where you can slow down, breathe, reflect and move forward at your own pace.
My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity and genuine human connection.
I work in a way that is trauma-informed, relational and tailored to the person I'm supporting.
That means I strive to;
Whether I'm supporting a client or supervising a fellow counsellor, my focus remains the same, creating a calm, reflective space where growth can unfold naturally and people feel safe enough to be themselves.
Rather than believing one approach fits everyone, I draw from a range of evidence informed therapies, including CBT, ACT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person Centered Practice, Motivational Interviewing and EFT Tapping, always tailoring the work to each individual's needs.
I have over 15 years' experience working across a broad range of settings from a wide range of cultural and life backgrounds particular experience in trauma, loss, grief, family violence, and complex emotional presentations including PTSD including;
This breath of experience has allowed me to understand not only personal challenges, but also the systems, relationships and life circumstances that often sit behind them.
