With Telehealth, You Can Access Help Anywhere In Australia

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is just like face to face counselling only more accessible, convenient and you can join from anywhere.

All you need is access to a computer, a tablet/IPAD or phone, good internet connection and a quiet private place.

You do not need to download or have any system or platform; we will send you a link when we confirm your appointment and once you click on this link, your session will automatically launch.

Why use Telehealth?

Telehealth is suitable for anyone who;

  • Prefer the comfort of their own home, own office or private space.
  • Need flexibility in times which can reduce inconvenience and time limitations.
  • Lives remote or in rural areas.
  • Needing to schedule appointments around family and other work-related responsibilities.
  • Prefers a therapist outside their residential area and or location.
  • Travels regularly.
  • Or just can't get to an office for any other reason.

What supports are delivered via Telehealth?

All our Counselling/Supervision services are delivered via Telehealth.

We can offer these online or via phone consultations.

Is my session confidential and is your platform secure?

Yes, your confidentiality is a priority to us. Which is why we use a secure web-based platform which is designed specifically for allied health professionals and meets HIPPA requirements and Australia, and security is ISO 27001 compliant.

We recommend the use of headphones and finding a private space at home where you can talk freely without interruption.

Counselling and Psychotherapy are not currently covered under Medicare;

Benefits to clients

  • No Medicare system means no records on Medicare and or my health record.
  • This enhances your privacy and will not affect your future career prospects.
  • Not using a Mental Health Care Plan means you are not restricted to 10 sessions per year, pending your agreement with your counsellor the sessions can vary occurring to your needs.
  • There is no need to see a GP or get a referral to see us.
  • You can schedule an appointment that suits you with little to no wait times.

We have a ‘duty of care’ to up hold ourselves therefore all matters discussed will be private and confidential unless you give consent for matters to be shared. The only time confidentiality may be broken is if your details are subpoenaed by a court of law, or if we feel that you, myself or someone close to you is in danger, harm’s way or at immediate risk. We will ask you to sign consent for a nominated person to be contacted in the case of an emergency. If this is the case, depending on the situation, a family member or a person in authority may need to be contacted.  This will be explained to you at your first consultation.

You will receive a courtesy reminder which will include the link to the Telehealth Video appointment, it will look something like this https://my.powerdiary.com/clientportal/businessname/telehealth/NHt4Kt1w8J
